GCE Offers a New Feature 'Interagency Contract Directory'!

GCE is offering a new feature, a searchable database capability in FPDS NG 'Interagency Contract Directory'(ICD). This 'Google-like' search tool will provide users an easier way to navigate the millions of Indefinite Delivery Vehicles (IDV) records within FPDS NG.

The objective of the Interagency Contract Directory (ICD) capability is to create a central repository of Indefinite Delivery Vehicles (IDV) awarded by the federal agencies where the IDV is available to be used at both the intra agency and the inter agency levels

The ICD capability will serve as a marketing research and planning tool, enabling agencies to explore the use of existing contracting vehicles to satisfy their requirements before developing and negotiating new contracts.

ICD provides accessibility to interagency contract information that would assist contracting officers in fulfilling their contractual needs in the most expeditious manner. It will also help in developing sound acquisition strategies.

ICD is a text based search that allows users to enter any data element of a contract, such as; vendor name, agency name, contracting agency name etc.

Search results can then be sorted several different ways, or narrowed down further by using the Advanced Search. Users are also able to drill down to the award detail for each data element.

ICD is available both to government users and public users. The public has free and full access to ICD at www.contractdirectory.gov.

We encourage you to use the new ICD functionality and your feedback will be appreciated.
